6 Best Festivals in Ireland in 2019 and How to Prepare for Them

It’s beginning to feel a bit like summer in Ireland, and you know what that means: festival season is upon us! We’re ready for three months of chill music, communal camping and cut-off shorts.

While Electric Picnic may already be sold out, it’s not too late to grab some tickets to these six feel-good festivals. It’s also the perfect time to pick out some promotional products that are sure to help you, your clients and your employees stay party-ready all season long.

1. Beatyard

Brought to you by the city centre happy hour hotspot Eatyard, Beatyard is the best non-camping music festival in Co. Dublin this year. With multiple stages and acts, as well as its own Eatyard, Kidsyard and Gamesyard, this bank holiday weekend event has something for everyone.

Located in the scenic seaside town of Dún Laoghaire, this festival is known for bringing in the coolest of Dublin’s locals. Let your fashion flags fly with a promotional printed bandana that you and your clients will actually want to show off. Perfect for tying back hair, twisting into a bracelet or accessorizing a backpack, your branded bandanas will help you stand out among the hippest festival goers.

Don’t miss acts such as CHVRCHES and Jungle, this August 3-4 at the Dún Laoghaire Harbour in Dublin.

2. Vantastival

The only festival of its kind in Ireland, Vantastival focuses on campervan lifestyle with a weekend of Irish music, family-friendly activities and relaxed vibes. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Vanistival is not to be missed--whether or not you have a campervan.

Located on the grounds of the gorgeous and historic Beaulieu House in Co. Louth, you have the option of bringing your own van, glamping or setting up camp at the nearby Setanta Guesthouse. Whatever you choose, make sure that you have a backpack to carry all of your essentials to and from the must-see performances. This branded drawstring rucksack is lightweight and water-resistant, making it perfect for day-to-night festivities.

Check out this year’s Vantastival from May 31-June 2 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, with iconic acts such as King Kong Company and Sharon Shannon.

3. Body & Soul

What better way to celebrate the summer solstice than by partying, connecting and exploring on a forest turned dance floor next to Ballinlough Castle? That’s the idea behind Body & Soul festival, which combines camping, arts, music and well-being in order to create a truly mystical experience.

With unexpected art installations, cult favourite musical performances and a spa sanctuary in the woods, you’re going to want to get some pictures for the ‘gram. But as a fully immersive experience that involves camping in the wilderness for three nights, charging outlets may not always be within reach. You can save the day with a handy portable charger, fully customizable for your company or brand. Stay posting all weekend long!

Ring in the summer season with artists such as Octavian and Kneecap at the 10th annual Body & Soul, from June 21-23 at the Ballinlough Castle grounds in Co. Westmeath.

4. Love Sensation

For its first year ever, Love Sensation will be hitting the Irish festival scene. Targeted at the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, this two-day music and arts festival is sure to be one for the ages. It features The George stage, a Mother Dance tent and legendary queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race, all in one location at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin.

There’s no doubt that this festival is going to be a party, what with its lineup of pop superstars Clean Bandit and Lily Allen, as well as its host, LGBTQ+ icon Panti Bliss. In order to stay hydrated so that you can keep dancing all day long, pack a collapsible water bottle. This one comes in multiple colours, perfect for everyone in your office, and it features a carabiner clip so that you can go hands-free.

Dance until you drop this August 17-18 in the city centre to acts ranging from Gossip to Horse Meat Disco.

5. Sea Sessions

More than just a music festival, Sea Sessions is a full seaside event. Complete with beach Olympics and a skateboard display, this festival has everything you want in a summer escape. Camp onsite or stay in town, and get ready for a weekend of hanging loose and riding waves.

With the California theme of this festival, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for summer sunshine. Although Ireland may not be known for its heat waves, stay prepared (and hopeful) with this travel-sized sunscreen lotion. SPF 30 and the perfect size to fit in a pocket or handbag, your clients and employees will be thanking you when they come to work Monday morning sans-sunburn.

Soak up some rays alongside acts such as Sigrid and Two Door Cinema Club this June 21-23 in Bundoran, Donegal.

6. Forbidden Fruit Festival

Located on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, this city centre festival is a mix of music, art, fashion, food and unforgettable memories. The Forbidden Fruit Festival boasts six stages and a wide range of artists, making it an essential stop on this year’s festival tour. This may not be a camping festival, but the party doesn’t stop at the end of the day: various venues around Dublin will be hosting Forbidden Fruit afterparties, and only wristband holders will be allowed entry.

Scheduled at the beginning of June, this party will officially be kicking off Ireland’s festival season. Make sure that your clients and staff make it to the end of the season with this pocket festival kit. It has all the survival essentials, including hand sanitizer, ear plugs and mints, packaged in one easy-to-carry pack. Once the party starts, you don’t want to be left empty-handed.

This June 1-3, catch acts such as Skepta and John Hopkins as they take over Kilmainham, Dublin.
