Finest Irish Golf Courses

With the Masters Tournament having come to such an exciting finish last month, and the US Open just ahead of us, it’s a great time to be a golfer. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer (hopefully!) and to many that means only one thing: Golf.

For both seasoned players and those trying their hand for the first time, now is the perfect time to get out there and hit some balls, and it just so happens that our fair isle is teeming with great locations to play.

Whether you’re finalizing your summer playing plans or just want to be ever-ready with recommendations for clients, we’ve rounded up some of the best and most beautiful golf courses in Ireland.

Portmarnock Golf Club - Portmarnock, Co Dublin

Located on the grounds of the ancestral estate of the famous Jameson family, Portmarnock Golf Club is a world-renowned course in a stunning location. Golfer and writer Bernard Darwin once said “I know of no greater finish in the world” of its last five holes.

Conveniently situated just outside of Dublin’s city centre, this is the perfect place for city dwellers to get away for the day. Go yourself, or enable your clients to tee off with our completely customizable EverGreen Golf balls and still be back home in time for a lovely cup of that other type of tea.

Carne Golf Links - Belmullet, Co Mayo

Across the country, we have the formidable beauty of Carne Golf Links, which overlooks Blacksod Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean. Carne is now ranked as the 10th best course in Ireland and among the Top 50 in Britain and Ireland and it’s not hard to see why.

Although this course is visually exquisite, it’s no secret that the west can be wet. But don’t let that deter you! Grab one of our handy, durable and brandable Susino Golf Fibre Light umbrellas and make sure not to miss the last links course to be designed by famed Irish architect Eddie Hackett.

Ballybunion Golf Club - Ballybunion, Co Kerry

Moving down south we have Ballybunion Golf Club located in the historic and charming town of Ballybunion. This course has been ranked 20th in the world by Top 100 Golf Courses and it’s a favourite of local and international golfers alike; US President Bill Clinton famously played the course in September 1998 during his second term in office.

If like Bill, you’re planning on travelling from further afield to check out this course, you’ll need something to carry your clubs and accessories in. Our Wilson Staff Carry Bag does just the trick and can be embroidered with your company logo to help get the right kind of eyes on your brand.

Ballyliffin Golf Club - Inishowen, Co Donegal

The northernmost golf course in Ireland, Ballyliffin Golf Club could make our list based off the stuffing panoramic views it offers alone. But if that’s not enough, Rory McIlroy has called Ballyliffin’s two courses “a must play on any golf trip to Ireland”.

While you may not be giving McIlroy a run for his money anytime soon, you’ll still need something to chart your progress. Our Golf Score Card Holder with Handicap Card is perfect for tracking every birdie and bunker.
